SPEECH & LANGUAGE SCREENING:
Research shows that speech and language problems are the major cause of poor literacy acquisition and learning disorders. Screening children at an early age allows for the early identification of potential speech, language and literacy problems, which can prevent later learning difficulties.
A Speech Pathologist from our centre can attend your childcare facility to screen the speech, language and preliteracy development of the children in the centre.
From this screening we will be able to provide (as needed) strategies for:
• Stimulating speech sounds
• Strengthening oral muscles
• Developing language comprehension and expression
• Encouraging Social Skills
• Facilitating early literacy skills required for later academic success
THERAPY AT YOUR CENTRE:
With the busy lifestyles that parents and children lead, it is often difficult for them to come in for therapy.
We can provide your preschool centre with a speech pathologist (at no extra cost to you or parents), who will conduct regular therapy sessions at your centre. Parents will be thrilled with the convenience that it allows, the children can be seen in the natural preschool environment and therapists & preschool staff can liaise easily to ensure optimum care for the client.
